Choosing a Course

Basic Life Support (BLS)

BLS provides you with the knowledge and skills that allow early recognition of an emergency, as well as the training on what to do.  In this course, you can expect to learn the following and more:

  • Recognition of Cardiac or Respiratory Emergencies
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
  • Clearing an Airway Obstruction

BLS is appropriate for individuals in a career field that requires care of adults or children, where the potential of an emergency occurring is greater than average.
This course also provides the necessary continuing education and re-certification training, under the American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines, for healthcare providers.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor

This course is for healthcare providers who have extensive knowledge of Basic Life Support.  With our instructor training, you will be able to build upon your experience and learn to teach BLS at the highest capacity, according to the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.


ACLS

Advanced Coronary Life Support (acls) Instructor

This course is for healthcare providers who have extensive knowledge of ACLS.  With our instructor training, you will be able to build upon your experience and learn to teach ACLS at the highest capacity, according to the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.


HeartSaver

HeartSaver Adult/Pediatric

 HeartSaver offers training in both Adult and Pediatric life-saving techniques.  In this course, you can expect to learn the following and more: 

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training

HeartSaver is for anyone who would like the basic knowledge on life-saving techniques and equipment. 

HeartSaver K-12

 HeartSaver K-12 is designed to prepare students, faculty, and staff to provide CPR and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner.  In this course, you can expect to learn the following and more:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Training
  • Basic First-Aid

HeartSaver K-12 is targeted toward any student or employee currently employed by, or attending an education environment.


Stop The Bleed

Stop the bleed initiative

We are proud to offer Stop the Bleed training.  This program teaches vital skills that can save countless lives in the event of a small or large scale emergency.  In this class, you can expect to learn the following and more:

  • Tourniquet application
  • Wound packing
  • Pressure dressing

This course is appropriate for everyone.  Adults and young adults will benefit from the information provided in this course.


Bloodborne Pathogens

Bloodborne pathogens/infectious disease

 Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. Needle sticks and other sharps-related injuries may expose workers to bloodborne pathogens. Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel in some industries, nurses and other healthcare personnel, all may be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens.  In this course, you can expect to learn more about bloodborne pathogens, and how to prevent their transmission.


This course is appropriate for any individual in need of occupational training, or interested in learning more.


TECC

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care

 Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) is a set of best practice trauma care guidelines for civilian high-threat pre-hospital environments.  In this course, you can expect to learn the following and more: 

  • Hemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course
  • Complete coverage of the MARCH assessment
  • Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments
  • Caring for pediatric patients
  • Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety
  • A final, mass-casualty/active shooter event simulation


This course is appropriate for first-responders, law enforcement, military, or other similar professions.
